Is is fair for children to be punished by teachers? Do teachers treat students like inferiors? Do children have their rights in school?

I do think it is appropriate to punish students for their own actions.
Some teachers do have the problem of keeping their personal beliefs out of the job, but thats another story.
If a student does something idiotic then they should have to pay the conseqences for their actions. There are alot of nice teachers but mostly people abuse and try to walk all over them.
I think a teacher is higher up then we are because even though some arent the most intelligent, they still have had the life experience that juvinilles havent, and for even that I think we should listen and just get the classes over with.
